“I really like helping people. When I do their taxes, I make their lives easier. I like that they don’t have to worry about anything to do with the tax side of their finances. I feel like I’m a stress reliever and a problem solver.”

Euan finished studying at Macquarie University in February 2021. He completed a Bachelor of Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in professional accounting. When he left uni, he started working at a firm, but by late 2021 was already looking for a new position and that’s when an opening at North Advisory became available.

“I had a good chat with Marius and Cayle… they seemed willing to take me on and really teach me how everything works. This was the main drawcard for me.

When you finish uni, you have done lots of study but don’t have any real life experience. I really wanted to learn everything, and North Advisory is a great place to do that!”

The supportive team environment is one of the key elements that make the workday enjoyable.

“It might sound cliched, but it’s the people who make this a great place to work. Everyone is so kind and helpful… they of course know so much about accounting! It’s really helped me learn a lot in the short time I’ve been here.”

Weekends are all about sport for Euan. Soccer and baseball take up most of his spare time. His soccer team is made up of some old school mates and his baseball team plays in the local Manly Warringah competition.
