Jason studied Business Commerce at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. He majored in finance and also strategy and entrepreneurship. And it’s this knowledge of business management that really enables him to provide clients with insightful information.

“When I first started university, I found that I really enjoyed the finance subjects because of their problem-solving, analytical, maths-based content. Originally, I thought I’d study management but realised I wanted the finance aspect in there too.

Finding solutions for clients… identifying their needs and helping improve their finances, that’s what I really enjoy about accounting.”

For Jason, being part of the North Advisory team is all about a healthy work-life balance. Having a team of like-minded people helps to make a great company culture.

“We all get along so well. Sometimes a few of us go for a run or swim at the beach during our lunch break. It helps to create a really positive working environment, and getting a bit of exercise helps you to think better.

There are opportunities for a laugh every day… of course, we knuckle down and get the work done but we also get to enjoy good times together as well. There are a lot of great personalities here… we’re not your typical stuffy accountants.”

When he’s not helping our clients with their business accounting needs, Jason loves to surf and often hits the road to find some of the special spots around NSW. Gerringong and Gerroa down south or Bluey’s Beach on the mid-north coast are some of his favs.
